| Hello there all of you. (Well, the few of you who still do the whole xanga thing and read this.) Just have a couple of quick updates for you. My parents are once again grandparents. Jazlynn Jean Robbins was born to Christoper Robbins and Shannon Lamb at around 1:30 p.m. today. This is my first niece! :) I hope someday to get to see her! Hey, maybe I'll be sent to Fargo some day. :) Today I made a lot of progress on the nursery for Marguerite Aurelia Robbins *who is expected to make her debut to Clinton, IA on October 25,2008* Momma looked so cute today in her maternity top. I felt like my mother this morning as I sent everyone off for the first day f school. Celeste started eight grade today. Oh my goodness! She's grown up so fast - and she looked beautiful! She's such a pretty girl. I got to do her hair and makeup too. :) Noah began middle school - sixth grade - today. Oh dear. Mr. Cool Dude. "nuff said. Mom went back to work at the middle school Learning and REsource Center...aka. the library. DAd just continued work. :)
Tomorrow, the crib moves into my former bedroom. The border goes up. The clothes get sorted and put away nicely - and this bedroom will officially become a nursery!
I do miss my CFOT. I cannot wait to see my sessionmates and new sister sessionmates! I'm excited to see what God has in store for this year. He is continually reminding me that I can't be the person to fix every situation - He is more than capable of handling things. :) My personal theme this year is going to be "dedicated." Help me Lord, to follow after you in all things this year!
Well, I must be off to bed, I have another day of work ahead of me tomorrow while they're all at school - and I'm running out of time to get all of this done!
Until next time, I love you all. I would appreciate your continuted prayer support - and I would also love to life you up in prayer as well. Leave a comment.
God's grace and peace be with you. In Christ, 2nd year Cadet - Aubrey Ann Robbins

| It has been quite a while since I've written a real post on here. So here's a mini one. (If this is even read anymore.) Summer assignment has flown by. I feel like I just got settled and already it's practically time to leave again. The people of Gateway have been so good to me, and I only hope that I can leave that same feeling upon their hearts. I get to see my family on Sunday or Monday! Yeah! During vacation, here are some of the things to get accomplished: 1. Change my bedroom into a nursery (for Marguerite Aurelia). 2. Finish the bathroom remodel. 3. Make some progress on the kitchen. :) 4. Throw a baby shower. 5. Maybe some VBS in the mix. 6. Perhaps begin the upstairs bathroom remodel. 7. Sleep in. 8. Organize my finances and time. 9. See my beautiful Grandma! 10. Have some mommy-and-me time. 11. Party with the ever-so-gorgeous Celeste Avanelle. 12. Rock out with Noah Addison. 13. See me padre! 14. Catch up with: Shannon, Martin, & boys; Erin, Patti, ________(fill in the blank). 15. FINISH and get printed: Sealed Orders for cadet fall retreat.
I do miss my CFOT family as well. It will be good to see what God has done in their lives this summer. I know God has begun a new work in me this summer - a work of grace and faith. What's he doing in your life? Comment!
I love you all ever so deeply, and I pray that you may dwell in the love that is found in the Savior's arms. May God grant you peace, rest, and joy this week. In Christ, Aubrey Ann.
Oh yes - I almost forgot! Here is my new favorite portion of Scripture. (Such great Word painting!)
Isaiah 35 (NASB)
Isaiah 35Zion's Happy Future 1The (A)wilderness and the desert will be glad, And the (B)Arabah will rejoice and blossom; Like the crocus 2It will (C)blossom profusely And (D)rejoice with rejoicing and shout of joy The (E)glory of Lebanon will be given to it, The majesty of (F)Carmel and Sharon They will see the (G)glory of the LORD, The majesty of our God. 3(H)Encourage the exhausted, and strengthen the feeble. 4Say to those with (I)anxious heart, "Take courage, fear not Behold, your God will come with (J)vengeance; The (K)recompense of God will come, But He will (L)save you." 5Then the (M)eyes of the blind will be opened And the ears of the deaf will be unstopped. 6Then the (N)lame will leap like a deer, And the (O)tongue of the mute will shout for joy For waters will break forth in the (P)wilderness And streams in the Arabah. 7The scorched land will become a pool And the thirsty ground (Q)springs of water; In the (R)haunt of jackals, its resting place, Grass becomes reeds and rushes. 8(S)A highway will be there, (T)a roadway, And it will be called the Highway of (U)Holiness The unclean will not travel on it, But it will be for him who walks that way, And (V)fools will not wander on it. 9No (W)lion will be there, Nor will any vicious beast go up on it; These will not be found there But (X)the redeemed will walk there, 10And (Y)the ransomed of the LORD will return And come with joyful shouting to Zion, With everlasting joy upon their heads They will find gladness and joy, And (Z)sorrow and sighing will flee away

| What happens when the song I sing doesn't seem to mean a thing And everything I have to bring is borrowed and rehearsed What happens when the music ends and I'm too tired to pretend That who I am and who I've been could ever get along Now’s the time for letting go
I surrender all - can you hear my call? When I'm at the end of myself Is this where you begin when I'm caving in When I'm at the end of myself
What happens when the motion stops - staring at a broken clock When what I am and what I'm not are perfectly reversed |
